About Noah Built
Noah Built was founded in 2011 by Noah Steen, a North Carolina State University graduate who learned woodworking from his father, Paul.
What began as a hobby making Adirondack chairs in his parents’ garage, is now a small, but thriving custom furniture business in Chatham County, NC.
Today, Noah and his father Paul are co-owners of Noah Built. They work alongside each other in the workshop affectionately named the "Big Red Barn" in honor of the children's book by Margaret Wise Brown.
Collectively, Noah and Paul have built more than a hundred unique, one-of-a-kind, pieces of furniture:
-
Farmhouse tables, kitchen tables and fine dining tables
-
Coffee and end tables
-
Benches and banquettes
-
Desks and commercial counters
-
Buffets, hutches and media consoles
-
Kitchen islands and custom counter tops

Noah
Noah is the founder of Noah Built.
Since its inception in 2011, Noah has been the face and heart of the business and has established loyal relationships with customers and the community.
Things have changed over the course of 12 years. Noah is married, and he and his wife Jackie have two active little boys and a sweet baby girl.
In addition to being a devoted husband and loving father, Noah works full time, so he shares the furniture building with his father, Paul.

Paul
Paul is Noah's father, co-owner, business partner and the master craftsman that inspired Noah.
An engineer by profession and a perfectionist by nature, Paul began by assisting Noah with more complicated projects.
Today, Paul is playing a much bigger role and will continue to be more involved as Noah's family grows.

Tucker
Tucker is the white lab in the "lab tested" part of our original name, Noah Built, Lab Tested.
Although we have shortened our name to Noah Built, Tucker is still very much a part of the business.
He is our mascot and on more than one occasion, we received a request asking if he was for sale!
Customers range from stores and restaurants to home owners.
